Goals and Features of the Course
This course consists of two courses: Fine arts and Japanese calligraphy.
The art major aims to develop professional skills in art education sufficient to cope with various present day school situations. This major also emphasizes art production, taking into consideration the basic role of plastic arts in society today.
The Japanese calligraphy major aims to train school teachers who have high abilities with both knowledge and practice sufficient to cope with various present school problems. Japanese calligraphy majors are also expected to pursue continuous production of Japanese calligraphy matched to the changes in the present society toward the 21st century.
