Training Program for Elementary School Teachers

The Elementary Education Teacher Training Program, starting from the academic year 2023, established five degree programs with the aim of cultivating elementary school teachers who have acquired the qualities, abilities, and skills outlined in the Diploma Policy, ensuring diverse learning opportunities based on the needs of learners. Each program has its own characteristics, providing a four-year curriculum that allows individuals to design their learning experience according to the desired image of an elementary school teacher, such as a “Specialist in elementary school education,” a “Teacher capable of handling subject responsibilities for upper grades in elementary school,” and an “Elementary school teacher capable of subject instruction in compulsory education schools.”

— The four key points of the curriculum from the academic year 2023 —
  • Introduction of a Degree Program System

We have established multiple teacher training programs with clear and specific learning goals for a four-year period, outlining the qualities and skills that each student should acquire. This enables diverse and systematic learning opportunities.
  • Designing learning experiences based on the desired image of the teacher you aim to become

Introducing the main major and sub-major system, allowing each of you to design your own four-year learning based on the desired image of the teacher you aim to become.
  • It is possible to obtain multiple teaching licenses.

We will organize a curriculum that enables the acquisition of multiple teaching licenses through diverse learning opportunities.
  • Providing teacher training designed for the new era

We aim to provide teacher training that meets the demands of the changing school environment, including the era of Society 5.0, the GIGA School Concept, and the introduction of subject teachers in upper elementary grades.
